This paper presents a study of the shear capacity reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened in with externally bonded (EB) fiber polymer (FRP) composites, based on performance existing published tests. The main objective this is to create comprehensive overview different strengthening configurations and failure modes observed experimental In addition, influence following parameters efficiency has been analyzed: span depth ratio (a/d), steel transverse reinforcement (ρsw), strength (fck), size effect (d), longitudinal (ρsL), configurations, type FRP: sheets or laminates (CFRP, GFRP), FRP axial stiffness (AfEf).
